ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY AND FLYING PLEASURE

 

Our new innovative intermediate wing.

 

With the Bird we've achieved several aims :

Create a wing that combines passive safety, performance, manoeuvrability and flying pleasure.

 Passive safety:

  •  Aspect ratio limited to 5.33.
  •  Line layout 4 layers at the centre and 3 at the wingtips.
  • Long brake travel.

Performance:

  • Total line length reduced by 13 % compared to the SPORT (266 instead of 301 m for size M)
  • Innovative leading edge with P14 © composite rods and a baby Shark-nose. 

Manoeuvrability:

  • Efficient braking design with 1/3 of brake line attachments equipped with trailing edge tensioners at the wingtips.

Flying pleasure:

  • Easy inflation.
  • Flies fast with hands up.
  • Reacts quickly to brake inputs.

Maintaining the reliability and durability for which our wings are known.

  1. Fabric 100% Porcher Sport UNIVERSAL orientated according to the direction of stress:

    • 38 upper surface

    • 32 lower surface,diagonal bands and non load-bearing ribs

    • 40 hard for load bearing ribs

  2. Fully sheathed lines: Edelrid, Aramide or Dyneema according to location.
  1. Risers from 20mm polyester webbing.

  2. Leading edge reinforced with our new P14 rods with which retain their shape.

Achieving a light weight without flimsy materials

  • Cleaver design makes the BIRD more than 500g lighter than the SENSO, whilst keeping the same materials.

 

The Bird size M is certified EN-B. Other sizes to follow shortly...
